| Officials: Sand Springs man escaped from minimum-security prison Tuesday night |

State corrections department officials and the LeFlore County Sheriff's Department are looking for an inmate from Sand Springs who escaped from Jim E. Hamilton Correctional Center Tuesday night, officials said. Correctional officers discovered Forrest Thomas Devitt, 22, was missing from the minimum-security facility after completing an inmate count at 10 p.m. Tuesday, warden's assistant Brenda Yandell said. The facility is located in the southern part of LeFlore County on the northern edge of the Ouachita National Rainforest, and no other inmates have escaped from the premises this year, Yandell said.
