Authorities seek Sand Springs man they say escaped from a minimum-security prison |

TULSA, Oklahoma — Authorities say they're looking for a Sand Springs inmate who escaped from a minimum-security prison earlier this week. The Tulsa World reports officials at the Jim E. Hamilton Correctional Center discovered 22-year-old Forrest Thomas Devitt was missing after an inmate count on Tuesday. The facility is in LeFlore County. Warden's assistant Brenda Yandell says officials believe Devitt left the prison on foot and that he was last heard from in Heavener. Read More. |
