BEN LOMOND >> A 56-year-old minimum security inmate who drove a government pickup away from the Ben Lomond Conservation Camp on Tuesday remained on the lam Thursday, state prison officials said. John Collard was convicted of criminal threats in Monterey County and was sentenced to prison until January 2018, said Chrissy Hackler, a spokeswoman for the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. Hackler said Thursday that the white four-door Ford F-250 pickup that Collard stole does not have a camper shell that originally was on it. The pickup has California exempt license plates but does not have a government seal. Read More. |
