Inmates charged with concealing contraband

CHARLESTON, Mo. -- Two Mississippi County residents were charged after allegedly being caught concealing contraband in the booking area of the Mississippi County Detention Center.

Mississippi County Sheriff Keith Moore stated the items were found during the intake of several municipal inmates during Labor Day weekend.

Jason Lee Krubsack, 38, of Bertrand, Missouri, and James Edward Wilson, 62, of Charleston each were charged with delivery/possession of a dangerous item in the county jail, a felony punishable by up to 15 years in the Department of Corrections. Bonds for both men were set at $50,000.

The incident began when corrections officer Faith Altamirano noticed irregular sounds from a holding cell.
