| Inmate released after sentence is miscalculated |

After serving an extra two and a half months David Amesbury was released from prison today. His being just one of many sentences that were miscalculated by the Department of Corrections. Amesbury served ten years starting in 2002. After two years of freedom and not violating the law again, He was taken back to prison in June to serve 20–60 months. A judge ruled today that Amesbury was entitled to immediate release because when he was arrested the second time he was not given due process. His attorney says this all could have been avoided.
