| NDOC audit reveals compliance with Prison Rape Elimination Act |

LAS VEGAS -- The Board of Prison Commissioners just revealed the findings of an official audit of the Nevada Department of Corrections (NDOC) and six of its institutions at their Sept. 16th meeting. The audit revealed the NDOC and six institutions are currently in full compliance with all the standards applicable to the Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA). “Full compliance with all the PREA Standards is an accomplishment that only a few states have attained to date,” NDOC Director said.
