Columbia, SC (WLTX) -- Fewer people are serving time in South Carolina's corrections facilities following the 2010 Sentencing Reform Act. It has led to thousands fewer inmates and two and a half closed facilities, the Watkins Pre-Release center and a wing at Stevenson Correctional Institution, both in 2012 and the Campbell Pre-Release center in June. "A lot of folks who were coming to prison for non-violent crimes are now not coming to prison, and they're out being productive members of society.
