FOX44 & ABC22 News has learned the Vermont man wanted for escape cut-off his GPS monitoring device. In an email to FOX44 & ABC22 News, Department of Corrections Commissioner Andy Pallito said Travis Sweeney, 29, of Georgia, Vt., was under DOC supervision. He was released on furlough earlier this year and was being monitored with a GPS device, which he cut off when he went missing. Vermont State Police say Travis Sweeney, of Georgia, Vt., fled from them Friday. After searching a home on Ballard Road, authorities traveled to a home on Cederwood Terrace in Georgia.
