Convict Still on the Loose After Cutting GPS Monitor

GEORGIA, Vt. - State Police Trooper John Bruzzi says he's been dealing with Travis Sweeney for years.

"His name has been coming up as long as I can remember," Trooper Bruzzi said. "He's always been a problem."

Last week, police started a manhunt for Sweeney, who was out of prison on furlough and wearing a GPS monitoring bracelet. Police say he stole a tractor, cut off his ankle monitor and went on the run. He was last seen running out of a home and into the woods near the Georgia/Milton line.
