| North Dakota youth offender supervision program gets $400K |

WASHINGTON — The North Dakota Department of Corrections will receive $400,000 to help fund supervision of juvenile offenders. The U.S. Department of Justice awarded the grant money to the state’s Division of Juvenile Services, Sens. John Hoeven, R-N.D., and Heidi Heitkamp, D-N.D., announced Tuesday. The funds, which support state and local delinquency prevention and intervention efforts, will go to the Attendant Care program. The program is used as an alternative to secure detention or jail.
