An inmate who escaped from a downtown Los Angeles jail is back behind bars after turning himself in this morning.
Thirty-five-year-old Roger Nyles was returned to the Twin Towers Correctional Facility after turning himself in to the Pasadena Police Department about 6 a.m.today.
Nyles was working in the jail's loading dock area Thursday night when he bolted through a gate opened to allow a bus transporting inmates to the facility. The escape prompted sheriff's deputies to order a lockdown of the jail.
He was orginally arrested in August for investigation of drug possession in August.
