| HP Helped Calif. Corrections Agency Build an Automated Prison Data System |

The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation worked with Hewlett Packard to implement a technology infrastructure designed to process, manage and share data on prison inmates, GCN reported Thursday. Karen Schwartz writes HP acts as the system integrator under the $400 million project and has helped agency personnel build the state’s integrated Electronic Offender Management Information System. The eOMIS infrastructure is designed to employ data processing and management tools from Cisco, EMC, Oracle, VMware, Adobe and Marquis Software, according to GCN. Read More. |
