ANCHORAGE – An inmate is being treated for injuries after jumping from the second story of the Mat-Su Pretrial Facility on Monday, according to the Alaska Department of Corrections. Sherrie Daigle, DOC deputy director, says the incident happened just after noon, a time when inmates are out of their cells in the common areas. There were 16 other inmates and one correctional officer present at the incident, she says. Read More. |
