| Lawsuit claims Michigan Department of Corrections investigator shot dog in Flint |

A Michigan Department of Corrections Investigator was at the wrong address looking for a fugitive, when he encountered 15-year-old Clohe – a pitbull mix – as she ambled into the backyard, and, according to a lawsuit, allegedly shot her in the head. A federal lawsuit against the MDOC investigator was filed Friday, Oct. 3, in the U.S. District Court Eastern District of Michigan. Christopher Olson is the lawyer for Erica Moreno and Katti Putnam, Clohe's owners. Olson said Clohe survived the shooting, but was left disfigured. "Three surgeries later, she had survived although she has lost half of a tongue, part of her face and one of her canine teeth, and she's lost a lot of weight because she can't eat as well as she used to," Olson said. The lawsuit seeks an an unspepcified amount for damages. Read More. |
