| Deputies: Escaped prisoner stealing cars, credit cards across metro area |

Travis Sandlin, the inmate who escaped from the Jefferson County Jail has been stealing cars and credit cards, sheriff’s deputies said Thursday. The thefts have happened in cities across the metro area, said Jacki Kelley of the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office. “Sandlin has been an opportunistic criminal by stealing cars with keys left in the ignition, and has also committed burglaries by taking advantage of open garage doors,” Kelley said. “The stolen credit cards have been used across the Denver metro area. Since Sandlin’s escape, he has stolen a GMC Denali from Golden, a Honda Pilot from Evergreen, and most recently a Subaru Impreza from Highlands Ranch.” Read More. |
