| Inmate stabs correctional officer at Connecticut prison |

A corrections officer was recovering Friday after being stabbed in the neck by an inmate Thursday afternoon at Cheshire Correctional Institution, officials said. A second officer also was injured while assisting his co-worker, but was not stabbed. Both officers sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to Waterbury Hospital for treatment.
