| Shelton prison investigates apparent suicide of inmate |

OLYMPIA, Wash. — The state Department of Corrections says officials are investigating the apparent suicide of a 31-year-old inmate at Washington Corrections Center in Shelton. Nicholas White was found hanging in his cell Thursday morning. According to a news release from the agency, White's cell mate alerted staff during recreation time that White had been acting strange.
