The regional medical unit on the grounds of the state’s Mohawk Correctional Facility is growing thanks to a $32 million investment. The multi-phase expansion and renovation project will increase the number of beds provided for inmates who need long-term care from 112 to 150. On Tuesday, Walsh Regional Medical Unit hosted an event to showcase the completion of the second part of the project.
