| Prison inmates indicted in heroin trafficking scheme |

Three inmates at Maine State Prison were indicted last Wednesday on charges of operating a heroin trafficking scheme to import the drug behind bars. Gregory Harrison, 29, Juan Infante, 31, and Michael Parker, 28, face class A felony charges of aggravated heroin trafficking, and class B felony charges of conspiracy to commit aggravated heroin trafficking. According to court records, the three inmates were part of a group of conspirators that smuggled balloons filled with heroin into the prison between January and March of this year. A Knox County Grand Jury leveled 46 indictments last Wednesday. |
