| Sheriff: Inmate death report unfounded |

JUNEAU – The investigation into a suspicious death of an inmate that allegedly took place more than 50 years ago at Waupun State prison is closed. After excavating and finding nothing at a site where the inmate was reportedly buried, Dodge County Sheriff Pat Ninmann said the death report is unfounded. Ninmann said the sheriff's department received a tip from a former inmate in June who reported that a fellow inmate was beaten to death by two guards at Wisconsin Correctional Institution in the late 1960s. The inmate also alleged that the guards buried the inmate's body in a grave on top of another body. Read More. |
