| Prison population forecast is good news for Oregon |

Chances are good that you missed the Oct. 1 forecast from the state about the projected population of Oregon’s prisons over the next decade. You missed a bit of really good news for the state – and a report that has important implications for the community-based corrections systems officials would like to move toward in the future. The report is prepared each April and October by the state’s Office of Economic Analysis. State law requires the Department of Corrections to use the projections to develop budgeting and policy priorities. Read More. |
