State police are investigating two separate incidents at the York Correctional Institution in Niantic. Six employees are off the job while the two investigations are underway. State Police have taken a complaint about at least one of these incidents. A source tells News 8 in one allegation an inmate is alleging sexual assault. That inmate has been taken been taken to an area hospital. The second incident is one involving an inmate at a UConn Health facility. A spokeswoman for the Department of Corrections says four Department of Correction and two Correctional Managed Health Care employees are on administrative leave. She says there is serious concern over their actions with regard to an offenders medical needs. The patient in question is in stable condition at Yale-New Haven Hospital.
