Michigan prisoner loses air mattress

KINGSLEY, MI – A state prisoner is probably a little deflated after a federal appeals panel took away his air mattress. Richard Boone II, held at Pugsley Correctional Facility in Grand Traverse County, contends he needs the air mattress to relieve pain from hip injuries sustained in separate crashes before he was locked up in 2011 for armed robbery and assault. Boone says the pain is so severe he has contemplated suicide.
