Former NFL quarterback Ryan Leaf, who led the Chargers to three Super Bowl appearances never, was released today by a Montana prison. Leaf signed a five-year sentence almost two and a half years ago, but a spokeswoman for the Montana Department of Corrections thought it was best for both parties to part ways and move on. “It just wasn’t a good fit for Ryan,” the spokeswoman said. “I think him being the second one selected for our new wing was too much pressure for him. Especially, since the first inmate chosen was more liked by the prison community and was a stellar performer at his weekend chores.” Read More. |
