COLDWATER — Apollo, Branch County’s newest corrections officer, has already had an effect during the month he has patrolled the jail. "We haven’t had as many incidents of contraband as before," Undersheriff Keith Eichler said in November. "The presence of the dog knowing he is here and what he does is going to control (the illegal contraband).
