Warrant issued for Townsend man who failed to return to correction center

A Townsend man is being sought by the authorities after he failed to return to a correction center in Wilmington during the weekend.

According to the Delaware Department of Correction, David L. Daniels, 31, of Townsend, is serving a six-month sentence from a burglary conviction at the Plummer Community Corrections Center in Wilmington.

Community corrections centers are “Level 4” facilities where the Department of Correction manages offenders who are transitioning back into the community. Offenders are permitted to the leave the facility to go to work, seek jobs or attend approved treatment sessions.
