SAGINAW, MI — A 20-year-old will stand trial on a charge that he intended to murder a fellow prisoner in August at the Saginaw Correctional Facility. Saginaw County District Judge A.T. Frank on Monday, Dec. 15, concluded the preliminary hearing for Chakaris I. Loury by ruling prosecutors showed probable cause to take him to trial in Circuit Court on a charge of assault with intent to murder. The judge made his decision based on testimony from the victim, Martin Solomon, and a corrections officer who intervened in the attack at the prison, 9625 Pierce in Tittabawassee Township.
