PORTLAND, Oregon — The Oregon state medical examiner's office says an inmate died in an eastern Oregon prison from blunt force head trauma. Dr. Larry Lewman said Tuesday that last week's killing of Terry Goodman has been ruled a homicide. The Oregonian reports that Goodman's family says an Oregon State Police investigator told them the 54-year-old man was fatally beaten by two inmates in a common area of the Snake River Correctional Institution in Ontario. He was taken to the prison's health department and died Thursday night. Prison officials called it an "unanticipated death." Read More. |
