| Sexually Dangerous Inmate Escapes in Mass. |

A 40-year-old man who was committed to the state Treatment Center for the sexually dangerous in Bridgewater, Mass. has escaped. Correction Department spokesman Justin Latini says John McIntyre escaped at 11:40 p.m. last night. Latini says McIntyre was civilly committed to the treatment center at the age of 21 and is considered a sexually dangerous person. McIntyre had been charged with crimes that included indecent assault and battery on a child, rape and abuse of a child, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, kidnapping, and armed robbery. He was committed in lieu of a conviction from Worcester Superior Court. Officials are planning to hold a news conference at the facility at 11 a.m. |
