| Most crime rates have fallen over past three years |

Crime is not all gone, but rates in Battle Creek are declining, recent statistics show. Information released last week by the Battle Creek Police Department show most serious crime has decreased over the last three years. Drug offenses and weapons violations, though, have increased. “Everything overall in the last three years trends have spiked downward which is good for us and good for the city,” said Major Jim Grafton, supervisor of the Investigations Bureau of the Battle Creek Police Department. “We are happy and the citizens should be happy about it.” Read More. |
