| Inmates raise money for Fry Town kids |

DOUGLAS — An inmate fundraiser at the Arizona Department of Corrections Douglas Complex in December raised $1,600 for needy children in the Fry Town neighborhood in Sierra Vista. “This check is a great victory for the children and it will be used to help give the children the everyday necessities we take for granted,” said Jim O’Donnell, the vice president of St. Vincent De Paul. Inmates were able to raise money by purchasing items from vendors that sell pizza or hamburgers, and a portion of the proceeds are donated to various originations in Cochise County, with the target audience being women and children.
