A parole absconder from Detroit was charged Tuesday in connection with a pair of fires at a Sterling Heights gas station, according to police. Eric Konata-Sade Farr, 24, who police said was injured in the Jan. 4 incident at the Marathon gas station on 14 Mile Road west of Schoenherr Road, was arraigned via video in 41A District Court. He is being held under police guard at a local hospital, authorities said. “The evidence shows the suspect broke into the gas station, set a fire in there, and used accelerants to do it,” said police Lt.
