Plaintiffs suing the Cullman County Court Referral Office for negligence and extortion have officially been moved out of the program to avoid impropriety and an antagonistic environment, according to their attorney. “They’ve been removed from that program — there are just too many hostile things to face,” said Melvin Hasting, who represents the plaintiffs along with Thomas and Kimberly Drake, said. “They’ve been moved to community corrections in the basement of the courthouse.” At the Cullman County Community Corrections office, the plaintiffs will serve their drug court probation, which they were sentenced to for various drug charges. In the court-ordered program, the plaintiffs will undergo drug screenings and other activities as part of their probation. Read More. |
