PORTLAND, Oregon — State police detectives are investigating the death of an inmate at the Columbia River Correctional Institution in Portland. The Oregon Department of Corrections says 50-year-old Christopher Mabrey was found dead in his cell Friday afternoon. He did not share a cell with anyone. Mabrey could have been released from prison in April. He entered the prison system in 2009 following a burglary conviction out of Washington County. Read More. |
