| Clemency Denied for Vietnam Veteran Facing Execution |

The State Board of Pardons and Paroles denied clemency Monday for a death row scheduled to be executed this week. Andrew Howard Brannan, a Vietnam veteran, was convicted of killing Laurens County sheriffs' deputy Kyle Dinkheller during a traffic stop in 1998. The incident was caught on video from a police dashboard. In the video, Brannan is seen dancing and mocking Dinkheller, and after a verbal altercation, Brannan pulls a rifle from his car.
