HUTCHINSON, Kan. - Three Hutchinson corrections officers were taken to a local hospital after being assaulted by two inmates, in two separate incidents. It happened around 9:21 p.m. on Tuesday at the central unit. According to the union that represents the correctional officers, the Kansas Organization of State Employees (KOSE), the attack happened when inmates are let out of their cells to receive their medication.
