| Bill proposes to help Montana parolees |

HELENA - A bill before the House Judiciary Committee would help former inmates whose parole is contingent on finding a place to live. House Bill 25, sponsored by Margie MacDonald (D-Billings), would provide vouchers for some parolees to pay deposits and up to three months rent. Supporters say it's one of the most important steps to help parolees get their lives together and would ultimately reduce recidivism and save the state money. Read More. |
