| County hears update on corrections services building |

The architect working on the county’s correction services building project presented initial drawings to the Finney County Commission on Tuesday, and indicated construction could begin in April. “That’s really a pretty good time to start a construction project because April and May is sort of our monsoon season around here,” Stewart Nelson said. “We will have some times we’ll have to deal with some rain, but hopefully we’ll be out of the winter by that time and won’t have to deal with snow and ice.” Nelson said the project is in the construction document phase. He is preparing documents project manager Hutton Construction will use to further pencil out the project budget and eventually build from, a process that should be completed around March 1.
