Corrections Officer Jason Self remains at a Lubbock area hospital and prisoner Hector Rivera, who was transported to Hospital Galveston Unit, is still receiving treatment, officials with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice said. Both Self and Rivera were injured in a prisoner transport bus/train crash Jan. 14 that killed 10 people. Self sustained a fractured C2 vertebrae and a broken arm in the crash and was still at University Medical Center in Lubbock. Read More. |
