KELOLAND News has been getting lots of reaction to our story with former Correctional Officer Matt Freeburg, who was attacked and beaten during a failed prison escape in 2011 by two inmates. The job of a correctional officer isn't for everyone. The South Dakota prison system continues to deal with a high turnover ratio when it comes to correctional officers.
