| Senators may visit overcrowded prisons |

LINCOLN — With all the talk of figuring out which laws need to be passed and how much money needs to be spent to solve the state's prison problems, one fact remains: Prisons bulge at the seams; inmates are crammed too closely; kitchens are taxed trying to feed more inmates than they were designed for; and waits for bathroom can be long, toilet paper in short supply and sanitation less than desirable.
