| Elyria man gets probation for assault on corrections officer |

An Elyria man has avoided prison after assaulting a corrections officer and destroying property stemming from a separate incident. Jordan Sand, 20, of 145 S. Abbe Road, was sentenced Feb. 9 by Lorain County Common Pleas Judge Mark Betleski to two years community control. Police arrested Sand on July 10 and was charged with assaulting and spitting blood at a corrections officer during the booking process. Read More. |
