Inmate stabbed at MCI in Hagerstown |

An inmate at the Maryland Correctional Institution in Hagerstown had to be hospitalized after he was stabbed by another inmate, authorities said. The incident happened after breakfast yesterday morning in a stairway outside a recreation hall in tier "D." The inmate was stabbed in the upper body. Prison officials said the inmate believed responsible for the stabbing has been placed in segregation and a homemade weapon has been recovered. The names of the inmates have been withheld by prison officials. |
