| Wardens at Ga. prison suspended |

The warden and deputy warden at Lee Arrendale State Prison in Alto, Ga., have been suspended with pay pending an investigation at the troubled prison. Georgia Department of Corrections spokeswoman Scheree Lipscomb could not elaborate on exactly what the investigation concerns. "It is a pending investigation," Lipscomb said. "I can tell you it is nothing criminal." Lipscomb would say the investigation is not in regards to the inmate deaths at Lee Arrendale or any other ongoing situation. "We do have Terry Duffy running the prison," She added. "He is taking over the day to day operations." |
