BOLEY — At least one Oklahoma prison is at more than double its capacity and most others are crammed with about 20 percent more inmates than they were designed to hold, corrections officials said Thursday. Monday is scheduled for the first meeting of a panel of state officials tasked with re-examining Oklahoma’s stalled Justice Reinvestment Initiative, and based on the state’s prison population, that meeting can’t come soon enough for Oklahoma Department of Corrections officials.
