| Prison inmate’s death investigated as homicide |

KINGMAN —The January death of a Phoenix man housed at a privately run state prison near Kingman is being investigated as a homicide. Neil Raymond Early, 23, died Jan. 19 at the Arizona State Prison near Kingman. The prison is operated by Management and Training Corporation of Utah. The cause of death is now considered as a suspected murder but the case is under investigation and details of the death were not given, Arizona Department of Corrections prison spokesman Doug Nick said. Early was convicted out of Maricopa County for a 2011 retail theft and drug paraphernalia charges and sentenced to five years in prison. He was admitted in May 2012 and had been due. Read More. |
