| Courts could benefit from mental health division |

A lack of funding and available psychiatrists are top reasons local district courts don’t have a mental health division though local officials agree it would provide valuable benefits. Mental health courts are special courts used to divert nonviolent offenders with mental health issues toward treatment programs rather than keeping them in prisons. District courts have the authority to establish a division to handle offenders with mental health problems much like drug court works for 4th Judicial District Court. Ahh, yes. Netflix instant saves my life sometimes. I like to watch obscure (to me) British period mini-series and 90's TV shows that I wasn't allowed to watch when I was a kid.
