| Arizona prison health care lawsuit is settled |

The ACLU National Prison Project, Arizona Center for Disability Law, the American Civil Liberties Union of Arizona, the Prison Law Office of Berkeley, Ca., Perkins Coie and Jones Day have settled their case against the Arizona Department of Corrections over serious problems with prison health care. The settlement requires the Arizona Department of Corrections to meet more than 100 health care performance measures. It must monitor prisoners with diabetes, hypertension, and other chronic conditions as well as provide care for pregnant prisoners and dental care. Read More. |
