| Lancaster prison guard pleads no contest to smuggling contraband |

A man who worked as a guard at a California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation facility in Lancaster pleaded no contest Tuesday to bringing contraband into the prison. Andre Pierre Scott, who also admitted that the crime was committed for the benefit of a criminal street gang, was immediately sentenced to four years in state prison and waived credit for two years he has already spent behind bars.
