Two of three inmates who escaped from the Henry County (Mo.) Jail on Christmas Day have been recaptured.
A Clinton police officer found Jason Eric Peek, 22, on North Main Street in Clinton, Mo., about 11:45 a.m. Monday. He had been in jail for stealing.
Bobbie Ray Bailey, 23, was captured near Appleton City about 4 p.m. last Monday after a pursuit earlier that day in St. Clair County.
One other escapee remained at large.
Timothy O'Neal Younce, 29, is thought to have stolen a pickup from a hospital about one mile from the Henry County jail and driven to the Kansas City area, where he has family and friends. Police found the stolen pickup about 11 p.m. Saturday in Kansas City. A shotgun that had been stored in it was missing.
Four vehicles were stolen in or near Clinton after the escape and were thought to be connected to the escapees. All four vehicles have been recovered.
The inmates escaped about 7:30 p.m. Christmas Day after assaulting and overpowering a jailer. The jailer has since returned to work.
Henry County Sheriff Kent Oberkrom said authorities were following several leads in their search for Younce.
Younce is white and 5 feet 8 inches tall, and was being held for assault.
